Our StoryIn 2012, a very special person to Amy and Michelle was killed in a tragic car accident. Her name was Karina. A year after her death, Michelle and Amy felt guided to create something positive and loving in Karina’s memory.
At Karina’s one-year memorial on March 4th, 2013, they had an inspiration to make 100 burritos for the homeless with their friends and family. After the memorial, Amy and Michelle delivered all those burritos to men, women, and children in areas of need. With a permanent marker, they hand wrote “Angel K Love Project” on the aluminum foil of each burrito. Since that day, Michelle coordinated a variety of volunteer and donation projects every month on Facebook. She sent an invitation out to anyone who wanted to join the project. Initially, just close friends and family joined them, but after four years of volunteer work, the Angel K Love Project Facebook page reached over 1,000 likes from people around the world. The AKLP is proud to say that they helped over 50 different non-profit organizations and clocked in 3,000 hours of volunteer work! Taking The AKLP To The Next Level...In 2017, they decided to shift their focus to the most precious thing there is - our future generations. They announced that they were going to follow their calling to take Angel K Love Project to the next level.
They believe the best way to positively change the future of our world is by positively impacting those who will carry it. Their hearts break each time they think about how many millions of children are in need of love and healing, yet they are ultimately forgotten in the world today. The kids who are living in this day and age are tasked with an immense amount of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual challenges. Many kids may never know how important they are, but the Angel K Love Project is here to help empower them to be the best they can be by financially supporting them through their partnership with Hendo Care Farm, Inc and the healing benefits of nature, animals and love! |
