Frequently Asked Questions:
Where is the Angel K Love Project (AKLP) Farmstead?
AKLP farmstead is located in Hendersonville, specifically in the township of Fruitland. Address will be shared at the time of your registration. We are down the street from Justus Orchards.
What is the Yoga level?
This will be a 45-minute Gentle Yoga class for all levels ages 10 years old to adult. Lindsey will provide modifications for certain poses so all can participate. A lot of focus will be on finding alignment and ease within the body and the mind. Class will include various seated and standing postures, yogic breathing, and a simple guided meditation. Please keep in mind that this Yoga will be practice on uneven ground on the grass.
What kind of farm animal interaction will we be permitted to have?
To begin you will receive safety tips and be required to sign a waiver before entering into the pastures where the animals are located. After that, you are welcome to say hello and pet the animals as you setup your mat and take photos until class begins. We will provide some animal treats that you can give to them. You will get to exchange energy with pigs, goats and chickens while practicing Yoga.
During the class, the animals are free to roam and graze in the same area we are practicing Yoga. Sometimes they come close to your mat and other times they do their own thing. After the class is completed, you will have some time to interact with them again and take more photos before you go. No food will be allowed in the pastures except for animal snacks provided. It is also recommended to leave your belongings outside of the Yoga area to avoid the animals getting into your belongings.
Arrival Expectations
Please plan to arrive a minimum of 10-min early to park, sign your waiver, listen to safety tips, setup your mat, and say hello to the animals. Class will end at the scheduled time. Please keep any belongings in your car that you don’t want to get dirty, damaged, or lost. If you must bring a bag or purse, you will be required to leave it outside of the Yoga pasture. Phones and a water bottle are permitted to be inside the Yoga area.
Cancellations and Weather
Class will be held rain or shine. Be sure to dress for the weather as well as wear sunscreen. If the weather calls for a lot of rain or the ground is too wet from the day before, then the yoga class will move to our pole barn on property. This will still include plenty of time to interact with the animals before or after the class. Cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. There will be no make-up classes in the event of a participant’s absence. However, we will offer a make-up class due to any weather-related cancellations initiated by the Angel K Love Project if the weather does not allow for a safe environment.
What to wear and bring
We recommend wearing appropriate clothes for Yoga and sturdy close-toed shoes for when walking in and out of the yoga pasture. We have very uneven ground and the pigs and goats could accidently step on your toes. Going bare foot is perfectly fine once you get onto your mat. You have the option of bringing your own mat or borrowing one of ours. Other recommendations are to bring: water bottle, sunglasses or hat, your camera, Yoga mat, and a small towel if you sweat a lot.
Are sliding schedules available?
Yes, the Angel K Love Project and Bliss Your Soul strives to keep our program fees as low as possible. However, sometimes that is not enough. If the cost is stopping you from registering, please email the Angel K Love Project at angelkloveproject@gmail.com and let us know what your financial needs are and we will get back to you with options available.
