In the year 2017, we went through many phases and we have a lot of accomplishments to celebrate. We also want to shout out a special thank you to all our donors who have been loving and supporting us along the way! ❤️
Cathy Hawk and Julene Noa joined the Angel K Love Project as members of our board! We are so delighted and grateful to have them on our team. Cathy accepted the Vice President position and Julene accepted our Secretary and Treasurer position. To learn more about both of them, click on their names or visit our "About" Page on this website.
We used their personal funds to began our travel research in Quito, Ecuador for 2 weeks. They attended the International Living Conference to learn the nuts and bolts to moving and establishing an organization in South America...
The Angel K Love Project became a tax-exempt organizationin Section 501(C)(3) of the Revenue Code. This was a very important accomplishment that allows all our donors to receive tax deductions for their donations. Yay!🎉
Launched a brand new Angel K Love Project website. We were so fortunate to have had this website donated by Kael Robinson, Founder and owner of Live Worldly, Fleeps, and Brazilets. The design was accomplished by her talented web designer Erin Sidhu. We will be forever grateful for their generosity and support!
This was the month we announced the AKLP's new mission and vision on social media. This was an exciting day for us!
From 2013-2017 we dedicated 1-2 days a month to provide 3,000 hours of volunteer work to different non-profit organizations before we decided to take AKLP to the next level.
We had our first fundraiser for the Angel K Love Project! We had a great turn out of 50+ people and we raised 26K! The funds we raised in April have helped us fund many start-up costs. We will be hosting many more fundraisers, to help us build this project, but for now here is a taste of the action, in this video below, at our first fundraiser...
More travel research to Ecuador then Uruguay in South America. We used our own personal funds to visit Ecuador and then stayed in Uruguay for almost 3 months. We traveled to many parts of the country, scheduled time to meet with lawyers, social workers, real estate agents, expats and locals. The time spent there was invaluable!
Back to Denver, Colorado to see if we can buy property in Uruguay for the Angel K Love Project. Moving to another country is not a simple task due to all the paperwork, shipping protocols, business obligations, financials and so much more. We are carefully using this time to see if we can personally afford a move to Uruguay and start the AKLP.
As a start-up non-profit, there is SO much to learn and even more to do to in the upcoming years. We are committed to learning, growing and establishing our organization in the most sustainable way to help the most forgotten children. In the meantime, we hope to gain more financial support as we host another fundraiser in 2018 !❤️
